Male Waxing FAQs
- We wax men all the time! Waxing is really the best way to safely and effectively remove hair in many of the hard-to-reach places where men want to be smooth. Our male guests also love the cleaned up look of a Nose, Ear or Brow Wax.
- Because of the coarse nature of male facial hair, it would be difficult to wax a beard without causing discomfort and irritation. We generally don’t offer beard waxing as a service.
- It’s good to exfoliate a day or two ahead of time and hold off on shaving for at least two weeks before you come in (hair should be at least ¼ inch long). Make sure to wear loose clothing to your appointment to avoid chafing and irritation.
- Discomfort can vary from person to person, but any pain you might feel is fleeting. Our Wax Specialists are quick, yet precise, and the waxes we use (including our proprietary soft wax) are formulated to help make your experience as comfortable as possible.
- To avoid irritation after body waxing, wear loose, breathable clothing for the next couple days, refrain from touching freshly waxed skin, and stay away from harsh cleansers, hot showers, saunas, tanning beds and steam rooms for 48 hours. You should also wait a day or two before you exfoliate the area, engage in sexual activity or do a strenuous workout.
