Nervous about your first visit to Waxxpot (or your very first wax ever)? First of all, welcome! We can’t wait to meet you and help you achieve smooth, glowing skin.
Also – nerves are normal. But don’t worry! We talked to some of our very own lovely and supremely talented Waxx Specialists and got the details on what you can expect and what you need to know before your wax. (Spoiler alert: it’s really nbd, and you’re going to LOVE it!)
Here’s what they had to say:
“Waxxpot is a welcoming environment. If you have any questions at all, we can add time to your appointment to go over everything.
Exfoliate the area you’re getting waxed a few days before your appointment to make it easier to remove the hairs and reduce pain. It also helps to take a painkiller (like Advil or ibuprofen) 30 minutes before coming in.”
-Faith, South Lamar, TX
“To put guests at ease, I let them know that I’m an experienced Waxx Specialist who has been doing this for years. I also like to talk to them about how their day is going, and try to continue the conversation throughout their visit. My favorite part about working at Waxxpot is the connections I make with the guests!”
-Trinity, Reynoldsburg, OH
“Waxing is not as bad as you hear. You CAN do it, and it IS worth it. For first-time guests, I thoroughly explain the benefits of waxing and offer to walk them through the entire appointment.
After getting waxed, I recommend avoiding strenuous or excessively physical activities that might make you sweat for 24 hours. Also make sure to wear loose, breathable clothes.”
-Julianne, Westlake, OH
Doesn’t sound bad, right? In fact, most people actually enjoy their visits to Waxxpot, thanks to our amazing Waxx Specialists (and the bright, friendly atmosphere at each location)!
